Native Plant Society chapter meets April 2

bluebonnetPrairie Rose Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas

Next Meeting: Tuesday, April 2, 2013

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Location: Somervell County Citizens Center, 209 S.W. Barnard St.

Karen Richardson, local landscape architect and owner of River Glen Studio in Glen Rose (and our treasurer) will be speaking on using native plants in the landscape.

Her program, “Don’t Say NO to Natives Until You KNOW Natives,” will show us how plants can move beyond the stereotype of naturalistic gardens and can fit beautifully into a more modern, contemporary or formal landscape.

If you have not yet joined our chapter, you may still join as a charter member! We currently have members from six counties — Bosque, Erath, Hamilton, Hood, Johnson and Somervell.

Fill out the PrairieRoseMembershipApplication. This can be brought to our meeting or sent directly to the state NPSOT office (address on form) to expedite your membership. You may also join online through the npsot.org website. Just be sure to indicate you wish to be affiliated with the Prairie Rose chapter.
