‘Paint the Glen’ plein air event draws artists to Glen Rose this Saturday

The annual plein-air “Paint the Glen” paint out will be held Saturday at Barnard’s Mill and historic locations around Glen Rose.

Check in is from 8 to 11 a.m. at Barnard’s Mill, 307 S.W. Barnard. St. The entry fee is $20.

Painters can paint from an area that includes Barnard’s Mill, Somervell County Heritage Park, the Paluxy River and the Courthouse Square. Maps are included in the artist’s bag upon check in. Up to three works may be submitted for judging.

Cash prizes will be awarded: $100 first place, $75 second place, $50 third place. Submit works for judging from 3 to 4 p.m. at Barnard’s Mill Art Show and Sale, 5 – 6 p.m.
