Oakdale Park premieres as film festival site

Special to the Current

The fourth-annual Glen Rose Neo-Relix Film Festival is making its debut at Oakdale Park in Glen Rose this year from March 27 to March 29.

Thursday night kicked off the events with a screening of Kim Hughes’ film “The Price” starring Randy Travis. ┬áThis film was shot in Glen Rose during last year’s film festival. ┬áCome on out and see if you made it out of editing into the movie.

The festival also will have a “sizzle reel” of all of the movies in this year’s festival.

The fun kicks off around 6 p.m. and films start at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs. In the event of bad weather, the evening events will be held inside the convention center (old skating rink) at Oakdale Park.

Tickets are $10 for the entire festival. Friday night events are $5. The Friday and Saturday schedules are below.
