Native Plant Society’s May 7 program to focus on Monarch butterflies

The next meeting of the Prairie Rose Chapter of the Texas Native Plant Society will feature guest speaker
Gary Hinds, Rio Brazos Master Naturalist, presenting a program on Monarch Butterflies.
Hinds will discuss the decline of the Monarch population in recent years, the extensive annual Monarch migration and explain the efforts to improve the Monarch habitat in Texas through the use of Monarch way-stations.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the Somervell County Citizens Center.

Everyone is invited attend.
