The Somervell County Master Gardeners’ monthly “Community Horticulture Education Series” will focus on “green energy” in the garden during its next program on Monday, June 10.

The program will start at 6:30 p.m. at the Somervell  County Citizens Center.

Master Gardeners regularly promote the use of collecting  rainwater for use in gardens. Many times pumps are needed to move  that water. Why not keep the whole system “green” by using solar or wind  power to pump that water to those thirsty plants?

Paul Graff  from Air Wind and Solar from Stephenville will speak on this topic.  Air Wind and Solar provides high-quality alternative energy solutions at  the most competitive price. They have been able to honor the desire of  its founder to provide the best value in the industry while treating  its customers like family.

“We all grew up in small rural  towns, with small town values and sense of community,” Graff said. “In a small town  you know the people you do business with and if you have negative  interactions with these people, then your business will not prosper. We  feel the tight-knit community atmosphere of Stephenville keeps us  grounded and reminds us to treat our customers like we would treat old  friends.”

This program is free and open to the public.
