Letter to the Editor: A call for Squaw Valley golfers to band together

accesories-text-editor-hi[Editor's note: This has been corrected to note that the meeting referred to in letter is at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, in the judge's conference room. Citizen comments will taken first during the meeting, during which commissioners will discuss the 2013-2014 budget.]

ATTENTION SQUAW VALLEY GOLFERS!
The county judge and commissioners are going to VOTE on closing 18 holes of Squaw Valley Golf Course on Thursday at the Commissioners Court budget workshop at 10 a.m. in the judge’s conference room.

We need to band together and try to stop this if we can. A show of people will hopefully dissuade them on voting for this.

They are jumping the gun on this and are not waiting to see how the new toll road will affect Glen Rose and Somervell County.

Not to mention the negative impact on the local businesses from loss of revenue if they close 18 holes.

PLEASE try to attend the County Commissioners meeting this coming Monday at 9 a.m.

Thank you,

Many Concerned Residents, Golfers and Taxpayers
