Join the Prairie Rose Chapter of the Native Plant Society of Texas on Tuesday, May 6, for an exciting program by Jack Brady on native plants and birds.

The event is at 6:30 p.m. at the Somervell County Citizens Center, 205 S.W. Barnard St.

Did you know by planting certain native plants you can create a habitat that will attract specific birds to your property? Brady, a 1990 Sul Ross University graduate in biology, has worked with native plants and wildlife for many years, including 10 years with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension District Office in Stephenville.

Brady has been an integral member of the Glen Rose Bird Club and frequently speaks to various local gardening groups and similar organizations.

This program is free and open to the public.
