The free event opens at 9 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. at the Somervell County Expo Center.

Screenings will be offered for skin cancer, blood pressure, vision, bone density, hearing, blood sugar, cholesterol, and pulmonary function. Carotid Doppler screenings and EKGs also are available.

Several features are geared toward children — free child immunizations, bicycle helmets and a visit by McGruff the Crime Dog.

Experts also will be on hand to talk about changes in Medicaid, provide information about Alzheimer’s and even share boating safety tips.
