Friends of the Brazos holds river cleanup

Friends of the Brazos’ annual river cleanup is scheduled for  this Saturday, April 5. Volunteers are invited once again to assist for a few hours with the removal of trash and debris from the river.

Afterwards, participants can enjoy a barbecue lunch donated by the Ranch House Restaurant in Glen Rose. Friends of the Brazos caps, T-shirts and hoodies will for sale there, too.

Meet at Tres Rios Campground, 2322 County Road 312, east of Glen Rose at 9 a.m. Call 254-897-4253 for directions.

Complimentary Ranch House barbecue meal after cleanup from noon to 5 p.m. at the Tres Rios Pavilion. Ask the office staff there for the gate code.

Show your year-round support for Friends of the Brazos River through memberships or buying T-shirts, caps or a hoodie.

Free canoes and shuttles provided by Low Water Canoes and Rhodes Canoes.
