City council to consider Heritage Park trade, appoint mayor pro tem

The Glen Rose City Council will tackle a full agenda at its next monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, including discussion and possible action to trade the city-owned Chauncey Park with the county-owned Paluxy Heritage Park along the Paluxy River.

The council also will discuss and appoint a mayor pro tem and select members of the Glen Rose Economic Development Corp., also known as the 4B.

Also slated for discussion and possible action is constructing a privacy fence at Oakdale Park and subdividing an existing lot in the Gibbs Industrial Park.

The council also will commemorate LaVoyce Jackson’s centennial birthday. A celebration in honor of her 100th birthday will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Cherokee Rose. The public is invited.

Other discussion and possible action items are approving and adopting the rate schedule for Atmos Energy Corp. and approving the 2014 Central Appraisal District budget.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers at Town Hall.
