Here’s the latest from the North Texas Tollroad Authority on the Chisholm Trail Parkway construction in Johnson County:

Bridges are important to the overall project, and 19 bridges in the Johnson County portion of the Chisholm Trail Parkway will be affected. As these bridges are completed, they mark critical construction milestones connecting the southern 13.1 miles of the tollway.

Following is a summary of each bridge’s progress:

County Road (CR) 920
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
CR 1015
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
FM 1902 (northern crossing near CR 915)
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
Rock Creek Bridge (northern crossing near CR 1016)
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
CR 1016
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
FM 1902 (southern crossing near CR 1016)
The bridge beams have been set in place and the bridge deck with me poured in
September.
CR 913
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
Rock Creek Bridge (southern crossing near CR 913)
The bridge beams have been set in place and the bridge deck is scheduled for
this fall.
FM 917
Bridge foundations and columns have been poured; bridge beams and deck
placement will occur in September.
Don Lee Road
The bridge beams have been set in place and the bridge deck is scheduled for
this fall.
CR 904
Bridge foundations and columns have been poured; bridge beams and deck
placement will occur this fall.
Buffalo Creek Bridge (northern crossing, north of Sparks Road)
Bridge foundations have been poured; bridge columns, beams and deck
placement will occur this fall.
Sparks Road
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.
Northbound mainlane Buffalo Creek Bridge (southern crossing, south of
Sparks Road)
Bridge decks have been placed and concrete traffic rails are next to be completed.

Community meetings to update Johnson County residents on the progress of the CTP will be scheduled in December 2013. North
Texas Tollway Authority staff and consultants will share a progress  report on the construction and offer tolling information. In addition, they will be ready to answer your questions.

Be looking for the finalized dates and locations on the Glen Rose Current site in November.
